About
This seminar aims to prepare 25 defence counsels from 8 local bar associations in Serbia to further train their colleagues on the application of the new Criminal Procedure Code. The role of defence in new criminal proceedings has altered and there is a need to uphold and promote the equality of arms as one of the foremost fair trial principles. Trainers provided by the Mission include drafters of the new Code, experienced defence lawyers from Serbia and Bosnia and Herzegovina, senior judges and prosecutors, and Missionmission’s staff members.
