This presentation of an analysis of citizens' direct participation in local governance is being organized as part of an USAID-supported project on promoting good governance through enhancing public accountability mechanisms and citizens’ participation.
The analysis was carried out to improve citizens’ participation in decision-making processes. It illustrates how existing participatory mechanisms at central and local levels have been used during the last 10 years and provides recommendations for future activities in this field.
The presentation is intended for representatives of local self-government units, media and civil society.
