About

The Follow Us initiative, a dialogue of prominent women from Belgrade and Pristina, will be presented as a side event of the Western Balkans Summit 2015.

The presentation showcases the work of the OSCE in promoting conflict resolution on many different levels including politics, civil society, academia, and media. Moreover, it will highlight the importance of women participation in restoring trust in the aftermath of a conflict.

The programme will include a brief introduction to the initiative, the screening of the documentary film “Follow Us” and a panel discussion on the importance of dialogue as a confidence building measure.

The OSCE Mission to Serbia and the OSCE Mission in Kosovo launched the initiative in 2012, and have facilitated it since.

Event participants include high-ranking officials taking part in the Berlin Process, delegations of the OSCE participating States, civil society organisations and academia.

The Austrian Ministry for Europe, Integration, and Foreign Affairs Secretary General for Foreign Affairs, Ambassador Michael Linhart, the Vice-President of the European Parliament, Ulrike Lunacek, and the Acting Head of the OSCE Mission to Serbia, Michael Uyehara, will deliver opening remarks.

Journalists are invited to register and attend the presentation.  Please register by email at: natasa.sakota@osce.org.
