This regional meeting to improve disaster risk reduction practices at a local level will take place in Belgrade on 26 November 2014.
The seminar will focus on tightening co-operation between the civil society and local authorities to better respond to natural disasters caused by floods.
Participants include authorities in charge of emergency situations and water management, and Aarhus Centers from Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Montenegro and Serbia. Four international experts will present success stories and best practises on public engagement in addressing flood risks.
