About
The conference will gather some 60 Serbian senior level judicial officials and the UN Special Rapporteur on the Independence of Lawyers and Judges, Gabriela Knaul. The aim of the conference is to present and exchange experiences on international standards and practice, and challenges faced by relevant institutions in ensuring judicial independence.
President of the High Judicial Council, Dragomir Milojević, Assistant Minister of Justice Čedomir Backović, the Head of the OSCE Mission to Serbia, Ambassador Peter Burkhard, and the UN Resident Co-ordiantor, Irena Vojáčková-Sollorano will make the opening speeches.
