Head of OSCE Mission to Serbia expresses condolences over death of police officer Goran Đorđević

BELGRADE, 23 October 2013 – The Head of the OSCE Mission to Serbia, Ambassador Peter Burkhard, expressed condolences today to the family, friends and colleagues of police officer Goran Đorđević and to the Serbian police service for the loss of one of its own.
Đorđević died today after being struck near Bujanovac while attempting to stop a suspicious vehicle on 21 October.
“Officer Đorđević was killed in the line of duty, working to protect the community and its citizens. I hope that all citizens in South Serbia will work with the authorities according to the rule of law to discover the perpetrator of this serious criminal act,” said Burkhard.
