Gender equality
The Mission maintains long-term partnerships with institutions, independent human rights and equality bodies, civil society and academia to advance gender equality. In line with Serbia’s OSCE commitments, the Mission promotes equal participation and safety by supporting non-discriminatory legal frameworks, stronger institutions, prevention of gender-based violence, women’s empowerment in public life, and regional academic co-operation, and contributes to the Women, Peace and Security agenda..

Overview
The Mission advances gender equality across institutions, education, governance and justice. It supports the revision of the Gender Equality Strategy 2021–2024 and implementation of the Gender Equality Law, through gender-sensitive practices in the judiciary and parliamentary oversight. Tt integrates gender in higher education, environmental law and local governance; and strengthens security sector expertise through scholarships, exchanges and research, building inclusive, equitable and sustainable capacities nationwide.
