Gender-Responsive Disaster Risk Reduction practices in Europe

The publication sets out a review of gender and social aspects in the context of Disaster Risk Reduction (DRR), considerations of gender issues in activities with a European international, transnational and national dimension and provides a number of practical examples of European gender-sensitive approaches in DRR, including those from Serbia. The publication is aimed at assisting policy-making disaster authorities responsible for managing natural hazards to further strengthen community resilience by integrating a gender perspective into Disaster Risk Management and adopt a whole-of-society approach to DRR.
