About
Participants will include some 20 High Court judges from cities throughout Serbia. The High Court judges are tasked to visit prisons in order to monitor the conditions in which prisoners are detained before they are sentenced, and to gauge the level of respect for their human rights while in detention. The course aims to contribute to the overall protection of detainees, and is implemented within the framework of the Mission's programme of support in establishing a stronger system of external control over prisons.
