The Mission supports Serbia’s anti-discrimination institutions, primarily the Office of the Commissioner for Protection of Equality, and works with the authorities and civil society to help implement the legal framework in support of equality for all.

Overview

The Mission supports Serbia’s non-discrimination institutions, chiefly the Commissioner for Protection of Equality, and works with authorities and civil society to implement equality laws. It trains judges and prosecutors, assists the Ministry for Human and Minority Rights in applying policies, supports law faculties to build students’ expertise on non-discrimination and—with OSCE institutions and other OSCE field operations in south-eastern Europe, as well as civil society organizations—backs hate crime monitoring and reporting.

The OSCE Mission to Serbia offers courses and learning resources to support practitioners and other interested audiences in the OSCE participating States.
