Arms control

The Mission works with Serbia's authorities to develop capacities to prevent accidents resulting from insufficient security at military munitions storage sites.

Overview

The Mission,  together with Serbia’s Ministry of Interior; the Serbian Agency for Marking, Branding, Testing and Deactivation of Firearms and Ammunition; and the OSCE Forum for Security Co-operation works to improve the national deactivation framework and strengthen K9 capacities, supporting Serbia’s SALW Control Strategy and SEESAC’s  (South Eastern and Eastern Europe Clearinghouse for the Control of Small Arms and Light Weapons) roadmap for the illegal possession, misuse and trafficking of SALW and their ammunition in the Western Balkans.
