This conference will present for the first time reliable and systematically collected data on the number, location and basic characteristics of Roma settlements in Serbia that do not fulfil officially accepted living standards.

The Geographical Information System (GIS) containing the database with the results from the mapping of 583 sub-standard Roma settlements throughout Serbia will be available as a basis for improving living conditions of Roma.

The Deputy Prime Minister and Construction, Transport and Infrastructure Minister, Zorana Mihajlović, the Head of the OSCE Mission to Serbia, Ambassador Peter Burkhard, the Head of Operations I at the Delegation of the European Union to Serbia, Yolanda San Jose, and the Ministry of Labour, Employment, Veteran and Social Affairs State Secretary, Nenad Ivanišević, will speak at the event.
